The first quarter of 2021 has been quite eventful for pirate-themed games on the iOS platform in Europe. Sensor Tower's data provides us with interesting insights into the performance of these swashbuckling adventures.

Pirates of the Caribbean : ToW, published by JOYCITY Corp, saw fluctuating revenue trends, with a peak of nearly $57K in the first week of March followed by a slight dip to around $48K towards the end of the month. Downloads for the game showed a gradual decline, from over 4K in the first week of January to around 2K by the end of March. The weekly active users followed a similar downward trend, from nearly 10K at the start of the year to approximately 7K in the last week of March.

Pirate Kings™, by Playtika LTD, also experienced a decline in revenue, from $32K at the end of December to roughly $21K by the end of March. Downloads remained relatively stable, hovering around the 800 mark, while active users saw a modest decrease from 11K to 7.8K over the same period.

Pirate Treasures - Gems Puzzle from TAPCLAP, had revenues starting at around $11K at the end of December and saw a mix of highs and lows, ending at about $9K in the last week of March. The game's downloads remained fairly consistent, with a slight drop from 5.5K to 4.5K. The weekly active users showed resilience, with numbers staying above 52K throughout the quarter.

Age of Sail: Navy & Pirates, by Special Gamez Technology Co., Ltd., witnessed a revenue pattern that peaked at approximately $8.9K in the second week of February and then settled at around $6.7K by the end of March. The game's downloads saw an unusual spike to over 1K in early February but reverted to the 100s in subsequent weeks.

Lastly, Plunder Pirates by Midoki, showed the most modest performance among the top 5, with revenues starting at $1.8K and increasing to around $2.1K by the end of March. Downloads and weekly active users remained relatively stable, with downloads ranging between 300 to 450 and active users maintaining close to 4.4K.
